Prepare content before takeoff

Add a flight, then keep BoredAboard open with internet access until the Flight Pack shows “Ready for Airplane Mode.” The saved pack remains available offline.

Open Journey › Cabin Plan › Pack Manifest to see licensed reading, original guides, games, saved questions, arrival essentials, calm tools and estimated offline minutes.

Cabin Plan

Follow the current phase

BoredAboard groups activities into Before Takeoff, Settle In, At Cruise and Before Landing. The current phase is marked automatically, and completion is remembered separately for each flight.

Plans differ by flight

The plan responds to route, duration, saved content and destination. Longer flights receive additional reading and a quiet logic break.

Games and nearby play

Nearby play cannot find another phone

Both iPhones need BoredAboard open, Nearby Challenges enabled, Wi-Fi enabled and Local Network permission allowed. Airplane Mode can remain on if the airline permits Wi-Fi. Flight-number spelling does not affect discovery.

No other player nearby

Choose Solo vs AI. Gomoku, Reversi, Dots & Boxes and Cabin Quiz include Relaxed, Standard, Hard and Adaptive local AI options where applicable.

Sound and reminders

Cabin sounds are silent

Raise media volume and check the selected audio output in Control Center. BoredAboard uses the media playback channel, including when the Silent switch is on.

Reminder did not appear

Confirm notifications are allowed for BoredAboard in iOS Settings. Reminders are scheduled only after you enable them in the app.

Flight details

Boarding-pass scanning and manual entry are available. City and three-letter airport-code suggestions help complete manual entry.

BoredAboard does not provide live gates, delays, aircraft assignments or operational airline data. Follow airline and airport information for operational decisions.

Privacy and content

No account, subscription, advertising SDK or analytics SDK is required. Reading is limited to original BoredAboard guides and licensed Wikipedia adaptations with source and licence details.
